I was somewhat more productive the second half of 2014. I finished a good number of quilts, but also constructed some non-quilt projects and decorative items.
July
July was The Month of the Quick Curve Ruler. I had mixed results using this tool, but Metro Hoops, above, is my favorite finish using the ruler.
Urban Winter was a quilt made with the QCR. I took this simpler one on to test myself to see if I had a prayer of mastering the tool. It is called Urban WInter.
I made myself a new thread catcher and am totally enjoying it. Much superior to the smaller one I had been using, shown in the foreground.
I finally got around to getting Dulcinea quilted, just in time to use for July.
August
This little wool stitchery project was done in a class I took at Buggy Barn with two dear friends. We call ourselves "The Sunflower Sisters" after a project we all worked on together in 2013, so it has very special meaning for me. Buggy Barn unexpectedly closed right after we met up for our classes, and I am so pleased to have been able to attend with my friends, since we won't have the opportunity to meet there again.
September
September was an unually productive month for me. Eva started going to preschool five mornings a week, and I made good use of my free time. Antique Stars is my number one favorite quilt of 2014. It will be the first one I send off to be quilted in 2015. I need to be using this one!
This is Lucy, a Miss Rosie pattern and quilt kit. Oh my gosh, did I ever love making this quilt. I will have it quilted with spider webs and be sure to have it on my bed this coming fall.
Next up are three small quilts, made after attending the Kim Diehl classes at Buggy Barn in August.
Idaho Lily
Laundry Day
Hopscotch
Technically, this is a finish from 2013, but I had to share it because it got quilted and on the table in 2014. I call this Spooky Canasta, a Schnibbles pattern by Miss Rosie. Quilted gorgeously by Mary Flynn.
Candy Corn, a quilt from a magazine pattern. This was fun to make and to use on the table for Halloween. I quilted it myself.
For the remaining months of 2014, October, November and December, I concentrated on smaller projects:
And last, but not least, Eva's Christmas quilt, All Wrapped Up (finished in 2013), quilted just in time for Christmas!

Antique Star and Candy Corn are my favorites. How do you find time to sleep?

That a fabulous amount of sewing. Good for you! I’d love to put together a quilt with colors like in Laundry Day, but I think I’d miss the mark altogether. I’ll have to try one day. Thanks for sharing.

Applause, applause! These quilts and fabric projects are just delightful as were those you posted yesterday. It’s all the more fun to enlarge the pictures to take a closer look at the fabrics and the quilting. Thank you!
You are the queen of speed piecing and are so brave to try new things, too.
Way to go!
Hugs … 🙂

I always love to see your year-end review of completed projects. They are all superb! And it was so nice to catch another glimpse of the dearly loved (almost to death LOL) Ooh-Ooh-Ah-Ah!

Holy Cow! (That exclamation point is appropriate, therefore permitted.) You really got a lot done. It must feel good. I’m sure hoping to accomplish more quilting this year than last. It shouldn’t be too hard to meet that goal.

Great finish to the year. I hope 2015 is as productive for you, now that you have some time back to yourself.
