While I waited for Friday to arrive with the next Sewcialites block, I got back in touch with the Flea Market sew-along, which seems to have been abandoned by everyone who started it. It is a nice pattern/booklet by Lori Holt, and I really had high hopes for it to be a fun sew-along. I guess there must have been a lot of other things going on at the same time because apparently, it has fallen into the cracks.
But there are my two latest blocks, numbers seven and eight out of twelve basket blocks for the quilt top. I am excited to resurrect this project because I think the resulting quilt will be super cute.
Several of you asked why on earth I would be writing an article on the subject of how to deal with vomit in a hot tub. I am a writer for a company that has clients who are in the pool and spa business. They have me write articles of "interest" to the customers of these clients. This week I am writing articles comparing infrared spas with traditional spas, and how hot tubs are good for your overall wellness. You can't say I'm not versatile. At least those topics are less gross than the vomit one.
Woohoo! Here is some happy news. The Mark Twain Badgers have redeemed themselves big time, with a huge win over the Jackson Jaguars. They killed it. It got to the point where we Badgers fans stopped cheering loudly and just clapped politely when our girls made a basket. After a while, it felt embarrassing for our girls to keep making baskets when the other team was struggling to stay alive. Still, GO BADGERS. It is so much more fun to win.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

That’s a great win for the Badgers & it was a blow-out! The fans certainly demonstrated good sportsmanship restraining themselves as the score grew higher. Your writing job sounds interesting & I’m guessing it’s not boring! Enjoy your weekend, too!

GO BADGERS! ON typepad, I couldn’t access your blog all weekend— some sort of error came up about MEDITATION—LOL. I’m sure there was nothing you could do about it anyway— so frustrating. But if you didn’t get as many comments as usual that may have been why. Xoxo
