Apricot and Ash, Corey Yoder

Isn't this stack of fabrics luscious? It is Apricot and Ash by Corey Yoder, a Moda designer. There is a sew-along coming up called Serendipity that I want to do.  Click here for fabric requirements. It is a row quilt, you know, the kind where you make multiples of some blocks and arrange them in rows.

Here is a better picture of the range of fabrics.  Aren't they lovely? My bedroom has green walls, and I was thinking a quilt with these colors would be so pretty in spring and summer.

Serendipity-Quilt-Top-in-AA

This is the quilt I plan to make.  I love Corey Yoder's website Coriander Quilts.  Her fabrics are scrumptious and her patterns are pretty good too. She lives in Amish county somewhere in Ohio and often posts Instagram photos of neighbors driving their horse-drawn buggies down the roads in her area. Her photography is excellent. She is very faithful about telling you which Moda Solids match her colorways. When you are looking for a perfect background match that is so helpful. She seems like a lovely young woman.

So, that's all I have for today. I hope to sew this weekend and be a good companion to my husband. Happy January everyone.

  1. I did t think I would do this quilt along-especially after I just finished yesterday purging and cleaning in my sewing room! But now oy-now you have me thinking!! Are you using 1/2 yards? I really like her new collection too that is actually in the Serendipity quilt. Decisions, decisions!, and I am ordering me a neck light! Thanks for always sharing your “finds”.

  7. I just received my Apricot and Ash fabric for this project myself! It was not really my taste in the original version, but this fabric line is perfect for me. Love your blog, I have quite a book collection to get to thanks to your book reviews.

  10. Those colors are just beautiful! I can understand why you’re drawn to them! Our LQS January quilt retreat started yesterday along with vaccinations becoming available to our age group so it’s a busy week here. Have a great weekend sewing & spending time together. Stay well!

  13. The fabric is so pretty. Looks like spring to me. I have been doing hand applique. I need to get the sewing machine humming again. I have a couple of baby quilts to do soon! Have a nice weekend.
