Sara's Buzz Saw quilt is back from my fabulous quilter already, and is such a pretty, summery quilt. I could not be more pleased with it. The quilting design we chose has daisies and honey bees on it, which fits in with both the quilt block name and the fabric, both of which have a bee theme.
When I first unwrapped the quilt I could not find the bees. It turns out the bees are fat little things–I was looking for something teeny tiny. Is that bee not the cutest thing you ever saw? I love it.
Hope you all had a nice weekend. We had lots of Eva time, which is always a joy. We got my annuals planted out in the back, and made an excursion to a local nursery that specializes in hanging baskets.
My husband was feeling generous, and told me I could get three of them. The flower is something called calabrachoa, which looks like a small petunia, but is an perennial. I can usually get a couple of years out of them if I cut them back during the winter.
Summer seems to have arrived, along with 90 degree weather. The hummingbirds approve, and for now, so do I.

your quilt and quilting look nice, I can see why you are pleased. What do you put in your hummingbird feeder? Looks like some kind of leaves.

How Cute ! Love the bees and daisies on your quilt !
These are my favorite flowers. They survive our winters when we have snow and the colors they have this year are just beautiful

The colors in Sara’s quilt are so soft & cozy looking. I really like the bees & flowers you chose for the quilting. We also bought our annuals this week-end but since we had 3″ of snow last week we’ll be waiting to do the actual planting. I wouldn’t want your 90° temps but warmer weather would be welcome!

The quilt is gorgeous. The fabrics caught my eye because I just finished a quilt top last night with Garden Notes. I love it! Did you use a precut or yardage?
