I thought it would be fun to go back four years and see what I was working on and share it with you. Since my sewing progress has been pretty much nil lately, this will be a way to at least share some content with you. Let's check out what I was working on then and what the status of those projects is right now.
So, in March of 2012, I was living in my other house and had just gotten my sewing studio set up. Miss the studio a lot, the house not one bit. The project that was on my design wall was one by Monique Dillard, called Memory. The pattern can be found in her book Traditional Fat Quarter Quilts. Where is this quilt now?
Why, it is still waiting to be quilted. Seriously?
This little quilt is Bibelot by Miss Rosie's Quilt Co. A little table topper I call T for Terrific.
I am happy to say this one is quilted, in use and being enjoyed. It matches my VIlleroy and Boch dishes perfectly.
I whipped up this little sewing basket liner to keep frequently used supplies handy in a plastic basket on my sewing table. I didn't have a pattern, just measured the dimensions of the basket, added seam allowance and some extra at the top to fold over, and voila, I had a basket liner.
Basket still in use and serving me well.
I have to tell you, this little exercise of looking back four years to see what projects I was working on opened up a huge can of worms. More on that tomorrow.

Ha, ha! That’s funny… can’t wait to hear about the ‘can of worms’. I love trips down memory lane.

Good or bad idea?

Loved the look back at these projects and look forward to more of this.
Interestingly, during recent nights I’ve had dreams or thoughts of using some of the fabrics I’ve bundled together (because they look good together and would make good quilts) for other quilts in the same color range. Good or bad? The jury is still out on that question. Still working on Brian’s star quilt. I’m that slow.
We had the 1st thunderstorm of the season last night and it was a doozie.
Hugs!

I made ‘T Is For Thelma’ for the Schnibbles Parade one month & it’s still one of my favorites, too! You’re so close on a finish for ‘Memory!’
I need one or three of those baskets for my sewing stuff! 😉

How interesting to look back at your projects for this time of the year! I might have to try that myself. See how many have been finished.:)

Maybe “Memory” isn’t quilted, but it DOES have its borders nicely sewn onto it. Needing borders is often where my progress stalls, so I’m very impressed!

Sometimes it’sgreat to look back! The ‘T’ quilt is beautiful I remember I didn’t make mine in time for the parade but I think I nned to find me some fabric and make it, don’t you think? And it’s great to know that there’re some longtime UFOs in other homes, too, not just in mine;-)

Ah, the can of Guilt-ridden worms? I’m sad every time I look in my coat closet and see unfinished tops hanging in the dark…

That’s a fun little trip down memory lane – I remember the yellow and black table topper! I think I will have to do the same on my blog!

That ole’ memory lane….I walk into my stash closet and look at all the fabrics I purchased way before pre-cuts were available. Do you remember those days? You walk into a quilt shop to find a fabric you love and unsure what you will do with it but you purchase yardage anyway…just in case you need 5 yards?! LOL I think we all need to use it while we love it because some of mine…still sits looking at me waiting to be loved again!
