Sorry for the lack of posting lately. I have had an unprecedented disaster with my email accounts. They have disappeared. I stopped being able to receive mail about a week ago. No idea where my emails were directed–into the ether I guess. I went through all the trouble shooting tips offered by Google/Gmail to no avail. I hired a computer repair person to see if he could help me get to the bottom of things. No luck. I called Google Support (not an easy thing to do) to have one of their tech support guys help me. After being on hold for one and a half hours, the support technician told me "We do not provide support". What? Then why do you even have a phone number?
The only solution to my problem seemed to be to create a new email identity and notify the 5483 people who used to use my previous address. This is going to cause me problems for the upcoming months I am sure. I used my old address as an ID for countless online websites, for my work, for my blog, and for my contacts. My sisterschoicequilts gmail address was sort of my "brand", if I were said to have had one. And it is gone, poof, just like that.
It is taking up a lot of time to try and sort this out, and there definitely has been no time to spend sewing or reading or cooking or anything else I would rather be doing.

Scary!! I have a gmail account and my life also resides there. I have always thought if my computer crashes, at least I can still get to that info on another device. Guess I better re-think that!

Sorry to hear this and when these things happen, we see just how much we are at a loss when a error or malfunction happens. Stay strong and one step at a time….then lots of wine!!!

You’ve definitely been missed here! Tech problems are so frustrating but this seems to be far beyond that! Hoping you get some good help & head back toward ‘normal’…whatever that is!

Speaking of….I’m ditching this current email address I use by end of year as I’m so finished with TWC. I do have a new gmail account that I will be sharing with you at some point in time. *wink* It isn’t linked to anything yet…now I wonder???
