Here is Tidbit, all bound and quilted. I put it on my hall table and made a little vignette with the ghost family and some other Halloween decorations. It made a cute photo, but as soon as Eva saw it, she commented that in her opinion, the ghosts were far better suited where she had arranged them on the fireplace. So back they went.
Honestly, that little pattern, Tidbit by Miss Rosie, is so darn cute. It was fast and easy, and would be darling in any fabric collection at all. I will make it again I am sure. Tidbit was a Little Bites pattern, which now that Carrie Nelson is part of Moda, are probably a thing of the past. I suppose those adorable new Frivols kits have replaced her Little Bits and Schnibbles. You know how I love mini quilts, so I am embracing Frivols with enthusiasm.
Tell me, have any of you made one of the Frivols kits yet? They have sent out three months worth so far, and each one is as adorable as can be. Almost too cute to take apart. I have managed to take off the outside plastic , but that's it. Do you have the chutzpah to cut into the fabric and take apart the kit in the cute little tin? I haven't done so yet, and would love to know if any of you have had the stomach to do it yet? And if so, how are you using the now empty tin?
I have three of them stacked up like planes on a runway, and no plan to make them up any time soon!
If any of you have made up your Frivols monthly kit, send me a photo and I will share it here on the blog. I'd love to see if anyone out there has had more fortitude than I do!

Sorry to admit, I am “with you”. They are so cute and adorable that I just can’t bring myself to even open them up. I have signed up for the first year of Frivols and just love those tins. I am sure someday I will make the lovely quilts inside, however, just not now. Too much fun looking at them and wondering what is inside.

Love the tidbit quilt – it is adorable. I am machine quilting a Halloween house quilt from miss Rosie’s tiny house, pattern and when it is finished today I hope the Eliza frivol quilt kit gets chopped into tiny pieces. they are beyond adorable and way expensive IMHO! Have a great weekend Nicole.

What a charming little quilt Tidbits is! I can see rearranging the wee blocks a bit when you make it again just to see if another arrangement appeals to you, too.
Those Frivols tins are certainly cute, but am not buying them. I do look forward to seeing what’s inside when someone actually opens them!
I have hung my 4 block OP challenge wall quilt from years ago that I did in Halloween fabrics (Pat Sloan).
Hugs!

I am so glad I’m not the only one who can’t cut into the Frivols!

My Frivols are set aside and waiting for me. Along with my What-Nots and Kindred Spirit club kits. My hubby told me that the $500 a month I spend at the Fat Quarter Shop might have to stop when he retires next year, so I’m stockpiling these kits for leaner days! LOL! I’m getting away from making big bed-size quilts, and these smaller projects are just the ticket.

I haven’t jumped onto the Frivols bandwagon yet and I’m going to assume that you are kidding about Carrie not having her own patterns anymore!!! Right?!?
