When I was trying to select a category for the post I was in a quandary. "Books"? "Blocks"? "Tools"?
The little fan of wonderfulness above is all of those things. The pages are laminated and double sided, and contain instructions for making 102 rotary cut quilt blocks in 5 different sizes, from 3" on up. The instructions are clear and very simple. I highly recommend this as a reference tool. I got mine for about $16 on Amazon.com. If you go to C&T Publishing, you can purchase an e-version for less, but I don't really recommend it. It is better to spend a few more dollars and get the sturdy laminated version.
Next time you have a hankering o make a three inch Dutchman's Puzzle or Bow Tie block, you will be all set.
Hope you all have a safe and contented weekend. With some sewing!

Hmmmm, I have the app on my iPad. I wonder if I’d be better off with the “real” thing?

What an interesting and handy little reference tool! I appreciate anything that spares me from doing the math.
Remember those U shaped pins you recommended a good while ago? I use mine frequently including just yesterday when I was sewing 9 patch rows together. These handy pins hold the abutted seams snugly tight – as you said they would.
Thank you for the constantly good information!
Hugs!

Like Kathy, I have an free app that is similar. I wonder if the blocks featured in the Block Tool are different.

I bought the block tool recently. I love it. I was making a block in 3 different sizes and knew exactly what I needed for it.

I got one of these last week after seeing it mentioned on The Temecula Quilt Co. blog. There is just a ton of info for piecing blocks all in that one little tool. Kind of retro feel about it. I have done quite a few little blocks and the info all accruate so far. Lots of fun!
