Well, I did warn you that there wasn't going to be a lot of sewing going on this week!
Here is a photo of one of my little Easter vignettes, on my kitchen counter. Easter seems so early this year, I am not quite ready for it mentally yet. I did get out my little cast iron bunnies and made a nice arrangement with some mini yellow roses. The candle is by Yankee Candle and is in the scent "Farmer's Market". Kind of indescribable, but quite pleasant. Rather reminiscent of things fresh and outdoorsy and fruity at the same time.
Teehee, maybe no time to sew, but I did make time to shop online. I received the deep dark navy I need for the containment border on the Past and Present quilt, and the colorful assortment of fabrics above it is the most recent Simple Whatnots kit from Fatquartershop.com. It is a pretty hefty pile of fabric, and the finished mini quilt is only about 10 by 12 inches, so it looks like I should have enough fabric for two or three projects!
Hope your week is going well. Mine seems to be all about appointments–dentist, hair dresser, manicurist, etc etc. Oh! Sara and I did take Eva to see Cinderella–and it was just magical. Loved it!

Count me in with those astonished at how early Easter is this year. I need to get out my “Easter week at the Jelly Belly Factory” wall quilt, so named for the jumble of colors in this Hidden Wells pattern quilt.
Methinks your containment border fabric is just the ticket and the other fabrics are a delight. Joy!
Hugs!

Too funny, but I just picked up my Fat Quarter package yesterday with a lot of those same fabrics, except mine were half yard cuts. I’m making Jellystone by Miss Rosie with mine. We have quilt guild today, and thats always a good thing!! Take care.

I love getting kits from FQS! They package beautifully and are always so generous with fabric amounts. I never have a problem with running short even if I make a cutting mistake or what to change up the technique used in construction. Plus they are reasonably priced. One of my favorite online shops!
I think I will take my 3 beautiful granddaughters to Cinderella too!

I love FQS … just got a package from them today. I love the fabrics that came with your Whatnots kit … and can’t wait to see them turned into charming little quilts.
