Vacations are terrific, but isn't coming home just the best? We spent the evening unwinding in front of the tv, watching the Oscars. I hadn't been able to see most of the nominated movies, but certainly enjoyed seeing the beautiful gowns the attendees were wearing. My first prize goes to Lupita Nyong'o, who won in the category of Best Actress in a Supporting Role. That woman is simply exquisite.
I didn't get much handwork done on my trip, since when Eva went down for a nap, I pretty much collapsed into bed face first as well. I did read a lot of books though, and think this week it will be time for me to do some book reviews.
Another thing I have planned is a fantastic giveaway, so stay tuned this week for more information!

She did look beautiful. I was so happy for her too. It sounds like you had a wonderful trip. We need to plan a trip down there soon. Looking forward to book reviews!

We didn’t watch the Oscars but I usually check out the photos on-line to see the gowns.
So glad you and the family enjoyed your vacation, rested, and relaxed! Yes, there’s still no place like home so returning is bliss.
Yesterday we had sunshine and 70*F but today is sleet, snow, and COLD! We seem to already have about 3″ of snow on the ground and the heavy snow wasn’t due to start until noon. Go figure.
Hugs!

LOL about collapsing whenever you had the chance. How did Eva hold up to the schedule? I was surprised that mine went all day and didn’t slow down a bit. Of course they are 5 and 6, a little older – but still. I heard something on the radio this morning that the nominated films are less likely now to be all blockbusters, and that the Oscars are more a “Superbowl for Women” because of the fashion aspect. I guess that’s kind of true.

I love watching the oscars eve though I rarely see the movies. Ellen degeneres was hilarious and the show moved along pretty well. Kim Novak looked like an alien, didn’t she? Urg
A face first face plant sounds like a great idea after following a toddler around:)
