Staying up til midnight? I don't think so.
Happy New Year to you and your families. We saw the New Year in from our beds, I must guiltily admit. Staying up until midnight is just not in me, no matter what the occasion. I woke up this morning, in a bloggy mood, and decided to do what I have noticed several other bloggers doing recently: list my most popular posts of 2013.
Last year was a challenging year for me as far as blogging went, with the necessity of taking several months off during the summer. I appreciate you sticking with me and being there with your kind comments once I was able to resume my blogging schedule. The dust has been settled for awhile now, and I am finding more time for both sewing and blogging.
I found it pretty funny to see what posts of 2013 got the most hits. The fifth most popular post was Arrrggggh My Dog Is So Annoying. I guess this just goes to show that I am constantly out shined by my naughty dog Ozzie. He never fails to amuse.
The fourth most popular post was Nantucket Coming Along and Dementia Question. I thought this was pretty interesting. Evidently dementia is an issue many of us deal with in our families. I received some very thoughtful comments on my question.
The third most popular post was A Great Tip, where I shared how I cleaned my design wall with freezer paper and an iron. This was such an effective method for removing all those little threads, and I am glad some of you were able to benefit from the suggestion.
The second most popular post of 2013 was Tragedy. In this post I showed how the moment I put down my freshly finished and quilted Clover project, I managed to spill candle wax all over it. This just shows how compelling another person's train wreck is to others! It still kills me to show this photo. I did get the candle wax off, but the stain remains.
Finally, my most popular post of the past year was Massive Reorganization, where I shared how I used comic book cards to wrap my fabric. This resulted in a terrific storage solution for larger cuts of fabric that previously got lost on high shelves or in plastic bins.
Hope you enjoyed this little re-cap! Thanks for reading my blog and for all your kind comments all last year. I enjoy sharing this and that from my (not so fascinating) life with you all!

Heck – I was in bed at 10 p.m… I did wake up and ask my husband, who was watching t.v., if it was 2014…I was 20 minutes early so I went back to sleep…
Happy New Year – and looking forward to your 2014 posts!!

Happy New Year Nicole! You make me laugh with your comment about your train wreck being captivating for others. It’s like looking at the sun: you know you shouldn’t, but you can’t resist. You know you shouldn’t look at others disasters, but you can’t help it. It’s human nature. It’s good to see that the bloggers we read are normal people who have terribly human things happen to them too, and “not so fascinating” lives, the same as us.

Loved the recap and was surprised to find this post when I popped back on the 2nd.
We stayed up on New Year’s eve or sort of if dozing in your chair counts as being up.
Ya know we love ya – and Ozzie!
Hugs!

Happy New Year, Nicole. Looks like Ozzie and Remy have the right idea about celebrating.
