Well, hey there.  Welcome back to my blog! 

Due to a lot of big changes going on around here this summer, I have had to take a fairly long break from both sewing and blogging.  Most of the changes have been good ones, and the rest we will all adapt to in time.  The most significant change for me is that I have moved!  My new house is a dream come true for me and I am really looking forward to sharing pictures of it with you over time.   The best thing about it is that I can spread out and decorate again!  So excited about that.  Are you all itching to get out your fall decorations like I am?

One thing I have had to give up is my fabulous sewing studio.  Now that was a tragedy.  I sure did love all my storage space and having my own little getaway spot.  In the new house I am sewing in an extra bedroom, which is going to be just fine.  Really.  It will.  I have things 90% organized and will be ship shape once I get more shelves built into the closet.

I hope you all had a terrific summer and can't wait to share some new projects with you all.  Whew, it feels good to get back into a routine.   I will be back to blogging regularly after this weekend.  Happy Labor Day!

  27. Well hello and welcome back. I am one of those people that hasn’t blogged since March! I had cataract surgery in April and May and since June I have been babysitting my grandsons at my lake cottage. What fun we had! Hope to be back in the swing of things soon.

  97. I too sew in a spare bedroom but I have refitted the walk in closet with lots of shelves and I have lots of light in there. I do share the space with a day bed so I don’t have a design wall which I would like but I am just happy to have my own space! I’m glad you are back as you are one of my main inspirations!
