A.B.D. All But Done. Not quite finished with my Little Black Dress/Joy Luck table runner. I got most of it quilted yesterday, all except two borders. I really do love that little wiggle stitch. My mission today is to finish that up, get the binding on and maybe make a little tablescape on the dining room table. Hopefully tomorrow I will have something pretty to share. I have a full sewing day ahead of me and hope to make major strides on several fronts.
The issue with the two shorter borders not fitting was a very simple fix, as I had thought. I removed one little strip from each border and things then fit perfectly. Not a bit of fudging was necessary. You don't even notice where I removed the strips. You'll see when I get my next picture.
Hope you are having a nice week, and that spring is in the air wherever you are!

Another beautiful project. Thanks for showing the wavy stitch and reminding me how versatile it can be. I used that in a much larger version,on the diagonalfor some quilts that I wanted to finish in a hurry. Probably would not have thought of using the smaller stitch.

Delightful – that is going to create a very sophisticated look on your dining room table.

Little Black Dress is looking good!! Love the wiggle stitch and may try it soon as I want to start quilting my own quilts because I don’t like tied quilts so much.
I hope to get to sew some today but we’re helping clear out much of FIL’s mountain of stuff so DS2 can move in with her next week. That move will be a monumental task, too. I am tired already.
Enjoy your day of amazing progress on this and that!
Hugs!

I love that stitch as well. I think I mentioned that my everyday sewing machine died and is at the shop. I had found the stitch on that sewing machine but my backup machine doesn’t have it! I was so disappointed. I sure hope that I get my machine back soon. I miss her.
I love how your LBD/JL Schnibble turned out. I can’t wait for your full reveal. The fabric was on my watch list when it came out and I have been surprised that I have not seen more quilts made with that line. It was so pretty!

Spring is definitely not in the air here. The groundhog lied! I love that wavy stitch and just did it on my Scrappy Trip quilt. I have used it on smaller projects before but never a big one like the scrappy quilt. It is so forgiving compared to straight stitching. Love this little quilt.

Looking great! So glad your fixit problem was simple–that’s always a relief, right? I’m just about to use that wiggle stitch on a quilt 🙂

Hurray for A.B.D. The quilting looks good! Glad that making the borders fit was an easy fix.

Oh I love the wiggle stitch too! I am going to look at my machine’s decorative stitches and see if it has something similar. This is such a pretty little table runner – the quilting makes it even better. Beautiful work x

Love your Little Black Dress Schnibbles. I need to try that wiggle stitch quilting, it’s just a stretched out zig zag right? I started a Schnibbles too during the AYOS break. I’m doing Jacks with Avalon fabric. I’ve always loved the Jacks pattern but haven’t made it yet. I need to be fast at sewing like you so I can actually get my little Schnibbles quilt done.

Very nice and I can see how removing a strip would be the perfect solution. We have daffodils blooming in our yard now and they will look so pretty with your fabrics. Looking forward to seeing the finish.
