I think I have nearly every Schnibbles pattern that there is. But could I find any of them? Noooo, I could not. That is, not until a couple of weeks ago! Since my studio is not complete, all my materials are still packed up from the move last summer. In desperation, I tackled the garage and shifted around some boxes and low and behold, I found my Schnibbles. The reason I was so anxious to find them is because I need to get going on the January project for Another Year of Schnibbles, which is called Full House. Now I know I have that pattern, because Carrie Nelson herself sent it to me. Do you think it was in that big stash of patterns? Noooo, it was not. So I ordered a new one, which came in the mail this week. I know it will turn up, and when it does I will do a little give away.
I was also inspired to order two charm packs of Blueberry Crumbcake (Blackbird Designs for Moda), one the dreamiest collections of blues in ages. My thinking was, since I am doing this blue and white thing for the month of January, how cute would a blue and white table topper be?
My plan is to make a smaller version of the full size Schnibble. Carrie has a version for a pillow that will be the perfect size for the center of my kitchen table. Do check out her blog La Vie en Rose for several other versions of this pattern with links to instructions for the variations.

How cute is this going to be with my blue and white fabrics? Depending on the finished size, I may add a little piano key border to mine. I'd better get cracking if I want this finished before the end of the month.
Added later: Darn, I should have linked to Another Year of Schnibbles! Sherri at A Quilting Life: http://www.aquiltinglife.com/
and Sinta at Pink Pincushion: http://www.pinkpincushion.blogspot.com/
are the hosts. So sorry about that!

I remember seeing that pattern on Carrie’s website and thinking I would love to make it. It is difficult getting Carrie’s patterns in New Brunswick…heck who am I kidding, the nearest quilt shop is almost 3 hours drive away; so it is difficult getting anything quilting related. Sorry you didn’t find your pattern, but I will be at the head of the line when you offer it up as a give away!
You do know that now that you have the one you ordered the other will show up…Murphy’s Law!
p.s. Where can I get info on the “project” Another Year of Schnibbles?
I do have Carrie’s Schnibbles book (the second one I think)

Hi Nicole, Where on Carrie’ blog are the versions of Full House? And where do I find out more about ‘Another Year of Schnibbles’? I’d like to play along!

I saw Full House on Rosie’s blog. It’s a great quilt, and looks good in all the versions. Can’t wait to see yours.

A annoying as it is to look thru boxes in quest of some one thing, it’s also like a treasure hunt but everything you see is like a welcome friend. After we moved, I started making a quilt once I had found my scraps. It’s titled: “I’ve found my scraps, but where is my stash?? Texas to Virginia, a moving experience!”
Cute patterns as always and I’m happy see you are back on your amazing speed quilting schedule. Sigh! You leave me in the dust of my good intentions. Enjoy!!
Hugs!

Hi Nicole,
I LOVE this pattern. It is just adorable. I made a “tiny” houses housewarming quilt for my sister out of a charm pack of Primitive Gatherings prints and it turned out so dang cute. You will enjoy this project! Have fun. I ordered a couple of the prints from Blueberry -yummy! I am trying so hard not to buy fabric. It’s killing me.

Can I just tell you how glad I am you are back “on-line”?? I truly missed reading your blog all the time. My husband passed away during the holidays and when I got back to work this week, I thought, I wonder if Sister’s Choice is back up after the new year? YIPPEE!!! You are back! There’s hope!! Thank you for coming back. I don’t know what kept you away, but you came back. I’m hoping I can come back, too. With love and appreciation…

Now that is *some stack* of Schnibbles!! Your table topper plan in that blue family will be absolutely gorgeous. Of course, I am a blue girl myself, so anything in blues makes me happy.

I can’t wait to see your pillow, Nicole! I’ve been drooling over Blueberry Crumb Cake for quite a while now!
Cheers!

I too saw the variations of this pattern on Carrie’s blog and just ordered Full House so that I could make the table topper version “Tiny Town” I think – this is my first Schnibbles pattern and I am sooo excited. Can’t wait for the weekend – hopefully there will be time to sew. Enjoy!

Your house quilt will be so pretty in the blue fabric. I haven’t decided yet what I am going to use for mine. I couldn’t decide if I was going to particpate this year, but decided that I might as well. It’s always a good way to get me motivated to use up my charm packs that I can’t resist.

Yummy blues, yes, can’t wait to see this! I hate it when I re-buy something I have because it always shows up sooner or later. Start cracking that whip Nicole, because I can’t wait to see it finished!

I love the Schnibbles and think that pattern will be awesome as a tabletopper – you work so quickly, I am sure we will see it all done up before month-end!
So glad you are back and doing okay…
