I don't know about you, but for me, the week between Christmas and New Years is kind of lazy.
I've been sitting around reading on my new Kindle a good deal of the time, trying to ignore Ozzie sitting on my head. Gosh, am I having fun with that device! There are so many books I want to read that I find myself thinking about what's next while I am still reading the current one.
We always try to go to the movies a few times during this week. I mentioned already that we had seen True Grit and liked it. Yesterday we saw The Tourist, with Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie. Interesting location (Venice) and handsome people. The movie was entertaining, but you could totally tell it was just a vehicle for making Johnny and Angie their $15 million each. Still haven't made it to Black Swan, but maybe later today after work.
I've made a couple more of my Shiloh blocks, using lighter greens from my stash.
And of course, I am still slogging through my half square triangles for the Belle Meade project I am doing with Thelma. We will get going on that in earnest once she puts her Christmas decorations away. lol

All this sounds really great. But, you left out some important stuff…I know you by now…you were looking at baby things and baby ideas and baby quilts and all things baby, weren’t you??? Admit it, admit it….it’s just too hard to resist doing that, isn’t it? So happy for you all. Ozzie cracks me up.

This week has been the laziest week for me of the entire year. I guess I got in one lazy week before the year was over! Fighting a cold made it easy to not work very hard and get lots of reading in.

I was wondering if you got a reader. There are several sites online that are great information. Lots of free books out there. My dad is really enjoying his, and I”m missing it, so I might be treating myself to one this winter. Great blocks going on there!

I received a Sony Nook (Same idea as Kindle – different brand) and am also loving it! I find I am reading more and just love that! Check with your local library too. Mine offers a site where you can “borrow” books (just like a regular library) and download them to your device. I listen to Audiobooks on my IPod on my way to and from work and now I can read them too. All for free!
Enjoy your Kindle and your movies! Laura

How funny! I wondered where your head was in that photo. Ozzie looks supremely comfy!
Yes, it’s lazy days here, too, and I read the Elm Creek Book, Aloha Quilts in just over one day. It’s an actual library book as opposed to the e-kind.
I’m joining Susan’s UFO challenge for 2011 and have already found 17 quiltie UFOs. Hang my head, but I hope a year from now many have been completed.
Hugs!
