Some People Are Just So Nice

We love it when things come in the mail!  Sophie was so excited as I tore the package open and pulled out this fun little gift box and envelope.  Isn't she adorable?  She has the prettiest face.  Now if only she got along better with her brother Ozzie…  Anyway, she immediately snatched the envelope, which is addressed "Enjoy".  Enjoyment is a quality Sophie knows all about.  I got the envelope back and now you can see what an inviting presentation this is!

It is a gift from Carol R. in Connecticut!  She was desperately trying to find an old Fig Tree pattern, and I happened to have it and sent it to her.  That is just what quilters do for one another.  I completely understood her need to have that pattern and get the project underway!  It was totally unnecessary for her to reciprocate (although we could go back and forth like this indefinitely!).

But look what she made!!!!!!!  A jewelry pouch made of Morris Garden fabric!  Is this not exquisite?  Look at the little pockets for earrings or rings, and a nice open area for necklaces.  What an amazing gift idea!  I adore this, and will be using it not only for travel, but all the time!  Thank you Carol, this is just terrific.

I am still off my regular blogging schedule, but hope to get back in the groove tomorrow morning.  I try to set up my posts to come up around 7:00 Eastern Standard Time, but have not been planning ahead like I normally do.   Thanks for hanging in there with me while I recover from both my holidays and getting sick!

  11. I recently struggled through making one of those pouches, I did a prototype that wan’t quite it but I think I have it worked out now. They make great sewing pouches. I love seeing photos of your dogs, Sophie is a very pretty terrier.

  17. Gosh that’s a beautiful jewelry pouch with a lovely presentation, I agree. Sophie is so cute in the photo and you’re so nice to make the photos lovely and enjoyable for us! I’m hoping your feeling better and better each day. I’m feeling not better today but I guess that’s over-doing it! I expect to make a turn for the better as the afternoon wears on… Then I can do things like… hmmm. What is that thing we do?
