OP Sew Along Top Finished!

IMG_2489

I decided on a diagonal set for my OP Sew Along quilt.  There was just *barely* enough of the light fabric left for the setting triangles.  I really squeaked by on this one!  The results please me very much.  It is plenty orange all right, but not in too much of an "in your face" kind of way.

Now I am going to play with a scrappy border.

If you are working on the OP Challenge and have something to share, drop me a comment because I would love to see what you are doing!

  1. Nicole, I love your blog. You are an inspiration to me because you are so prolific and quilt so beautifully. I plan to purchase a machine soon, possibly at the Sew Expo next week. I have a $200 Viking that is clunky. I could spend as much as $2000 but am not sue I need that much machine. Do you have a recommendation? Thanks, Linda Nichols

  3. Nicole, your orange top is beautiful. Don’t you love it when you don’t think you’ll have enough fabric but then you just make it. Well, I’m still working on my first blocks so I’m going to get busy.

  5. Nicole,
You’re just amazing! You, get more done by 10:00a.m. than I seem to get accomplished in an entire day. Don’t know how you do it. All of your quilts are amazing. One of these days you will have to update your quilt album. You have finished so many more quilts than you have posted.
    Thanks for all your inspiration.

  7. Job well done! I think this turned out wonderful and I really like your choice of colors that you finally decided on. I didn’t know brown and orange went so well together. Keep having fun! Nancy in WI

  9. Nicole, I am (almost) speechless, but you know me, lol. Your quilt top is elegant, I love the pieced border. You make me proud to be a quilter, truly. I tell my friends to check out your blog and say, go look, see what quilters can do when they put their mind to it.

  11. Nicole, I have sewn all my life, but just started getting into quilting and found your blog. I love this OP challenge! How fun! I had a great time looking at what everyone was doing! I love how your top turned out…wasn’t so sure before the border, but now that ties it all together perfectly!
