Sorry I dropped out of sight there for a few days after my Blog Give Away. Life just got hectic. Or maybe I just got lazy! Part of my problem is that I am having a terrible time trying to decide upon my next project. I thought I had it all figured out, but now I am back to considering my options.
But first…..You must go straight over to my daughter Sara’s blog The Winemaker’s Wife and see the newest addition to our family! She and her husband Ryan just adopted a little West Highland Terrier puppy named Remy. Ozzie is an Uncle! Uncle Ozzie. Hmmm.
I haven’t met the little guy yet, but I am all ready to puppy sit and to spoil him. Sara and Ryan also just moved into an adorable Yellow Cottage, so please go wish her a happy life in her new place. She has pictures of it on her blog, and it is as cute as can be. Big changes in their little family!
On the quilty front, I am in such a quandry. I just do not know what project to start. I was all set to begin Morris Garden, but don’t have it cut out yet. I ordered all twelve blocks for the Web Sampler project, and have received 11 of them, but haven’t begun it yet. Then I started looking in my stash closet at all the fabulous projects I have assembled fabrics for, but have not yet cut out. Help!!!
Here are some of the things I am considering:
I have collected some gorgeous and cheery red and green fabrics that would make up into a wonderful summer quilt. Here are more of them:
Or, consider these mostly pink Civil War fabrics:
Or this idea I stole copied from Darlene–beautiful Rites of Spring fabric by Moda and the MoJo baskets pattern by Miss Rosie. I even printed out the picture Darlene had posted on her blog:
Or what about this? Yummy pink and green fabrics from all over, that I could make into another Miss Rosie pattern called Mountain Cottage.
I just can’t make up my mind, so I sit around and do nothing. And then, of course, I could always FINISH something and wait to start something new.

Dear Nicole,
Was reading your blog when you posted a new one. I don’t know much about blogging, but wanted you to know I posted a comment on the blue/white quilt, tea/toast post. Congrats on Remy. Westies have lots of personality. Fabulous fabrics. No wonder you can’t decide on a project.

Oh my gosh, no wonder you cannot decide what to start – look at all those beautiful choices!!! My first pick would be the red/green/white combo in your first two pictures – do you have a pattern in mind for that one yet? My second pick would be those pinks and greens for the Mountain Cottage quilt! Good luck deciding! I love the buzz of a new project, especially cutting it all out!

Remy is adorable!
Don’t you hate that ambivalent feeling when you can’t make up your mind? Almost makes you think you should just pick a number. Put all the quilt names in a hat, then pull one out. (And, if you find yourself wishing for a particular one when you go to draw the name, do that one, no matter which name you draw!)

What fabulous groups you have to choose from. I’d pick the first and the last groups — first, that is. I’d want to do them all!!

Why not take a day or two to cut them all – they will be and look very different when cut. Believe me when I tell you that one will grab you while you’re cutting. There will be one that you won’t be able to resist.
Remy is adorable!

Wow! What beautiful fabrics! I would have a hard time choosing, too! I love the Miss Rosie quilt patterns. You are a great advertisement for her. I have several of her patterns, but haven’t made one, yet.

Hi Nicole,
What a great collection of fabrics – it would be a hard choice- I liked them all but am a bit a partial to the pink and green ones- I will look forward to see your new project- The browns and green are pretty fabulous too- Decisions- decisions decisions….
I hope that Ozzie has not got himself in the dog house because of the yarn episode- they do like to test one’s limits…
