Blocks #5 and #6

Some how between house guests, helping out my cousin with a fashion show, and reading Harry Potter, I managed to finish block number 6 of the sampler quilt project I am working on with Lisa.  I thought I was ahead of the game, having had block number 5 done two weeks ago, but life got in the way and I never got around to block six until the very last minute, just in time to post today!

I am enjoying this sampler challenge, and as I was telling Lisa, it seems like this quilt top is coming together so easily, the way we are working on it every now and then in between our other projects.  The variety in all the blocks is definitely keeping my interest, and I have a feeling it will be a real favorite once it is quilted.  Mine is going over my brown leather chair in my living room.  The subdued chocolate, tan and red colors will be a subtle, but still quilty decorator touch to that room.

If you haven’t had a chance to check out Lisa’s blog site "Stashmaster", be sure you do–she has a brand new look that will knock your socks off!

Happy Monday!  Hope you all have a great start to your week.

  1. They turned out great! Squeaking in under the wire – I don’t know how you do it with all that you have going on in your life. I’ve really enjoyed working on this sampler with you. The challenge has really kept me on task!

  3. Nicole – I love seeing the difference between your blocks and Lisa’s. It’s wonderful to see each block come to life. Your blocks are lovely – your color choices are gorgeous, and sound perfect for the use you described. That brown leather chair will feel so loved!

  5. Great blocks. Every time you post more, I impressed all over again by the color choices, and the way you’ve incorporated plaids, checks, etc.
