Amadeus

Amadeus
Last night after work I drove 20 miles in the pouring rain to an open sewing class at my favorite quiltshop Prairie Queens.   Why on earth would I do that, instead of going home to a nice dinner, a fire in the fireplace, and a lovely glass of chardonnay?  Simply because the shop is welcoming, the staff is friendly, and they always have some new merchandize to drool over…  and my latest quilt was ready for pick up.  This is it, the Miss Rosie Amadeus pattern, made up in Fig Tree Buttercream and Figs fabrics.  Isn’t it pretty?  You must see a close up of the beautiful quilting.

I actually did accomplish some  sewing last evening, even though much of my time was spent admiring my newly finished quilt, chatting with friends, and purchasing a thing or two which shall be revealed in a future post.  More on that tomorrow!

  1. Oh – awesome!!! I LOVE the Amadeus quilt. It looks so different from my Buttercream & Figs quilt as I used more of the brown tones. Stunning quilting, too! Can’t wait to see what you bought…..
