Announcing A Sew Along

A couple of my friends and I are going to be doing a little sew along in the coming weeks, and I am pretty excited about it!  Would you like to guess what it might be?

Take a guess and on Wednesday I will announce the name of the first person to correctly predict just what project we might be launching into!  Giveaway!  Woo hoo!  A prize to the first person to identify the primary fabric collection and the pattern.  Additional prize to anyone who can guess the two individuals in blogland who will be sewing along with me.

  7. Yup, I too think it is one of the two Spools patterns. But I see both Vintage Modern and Marmalade in there (Gotta get me some of that)… Gorgeous! Can’t wait to get the details, because I have some of Carrie Nelsons delightful collection Nine Dots that will be wonderful in Spools!!! Hugs…

  9. Sorry, meant to say that the Vintage Modern looks to be the background and the Marmalade, the primary fabric. And this will give me an excuse to by the Spools pattern if I’m right, LOL. Hugs…

  11. I say Granny Square quilt-a-long. The two friends are Lori from Bee in My Bonnet and Jodi from Pleasant Quilts ( for the life of me I can’t remember the correct name).

  15. Don’t know the fabric or pattern but my guess for your fellow quilters are Thelma and Monique.
    Whatever the fabric and pattern I just know it is going to be lovely!!!

  17. I think it’s Marmalade with a bit of bliss and ruby thrown in. Probably the Spool pattern by Camille…and I too think it’s with Thelma for sure…

  19. My guess is some Ruby & Vintage Modern combined to make Camille’s Dilly Dally pattern. Sew along buddies might be Sinta & Sherri! You three are always so prolific with your quilt making! No matter who and what it’s bound to be beautiful!

  23. Sewing is always more fun with friends! Even bloggie ones. As to your pattern… I would have said bounce since that is on my to do list… but that would be just me projecting since I don’t see big squares to make the Flying geese for the stars. So, I’m at a loss on the pattern but the fabric looks like Vintage Modern. Friends for your sew along? Maybe Thelma and Lisa? Regardless, I’m sure you will have tons of fun!!

  25. Fabric is definitely by Bonnie & Camille – I think so anyway. We still have Ruby in the shops here (England) so I’m guessing that’s a newer collection than I’ve seen.
    Maybe one of their patterns too

  27. So many people have already guessed but your fabric is alot of Bonnie and Camille. You have parts of their fabrics from Marmalade, Vintage Modern, Ruby, and even a little of Bliss thrown in. It looks like the spool pattern and I am guessing your doing this with Thelma and Lisa. Looks to be like a fun sew along. I love their fabrics and am using a combination of it all to do my FWS square. Have Fun!!

Will be looking forward to watching the progress. Please take longer than 3 days to finish this one, will you? You’re making the rest of us look bad. LOL 🙂

  41. I believe that it is the Spool Pattern from Camille. It’s one I plan on purchasing. Are you sewing along with Thelma and Lisa or Thelma and Carrie? Either way, Thelma is involved!

  49. I’ve been wanting to make Camille’s Spool quilt, so I hope that’s what you’re doing. I think it looks like Vintage Modern, but I’m planning to use Cosmo Cricket’s Salt Air. I have the fabric, just need the pattern. Maybe this will be my incentive.

  51. I just got my hands on some of that fabric. It’s from the Vintage Modern collection by Bonnie and Camille. I am guessing the pattern will be for the Christmas Block-a-thon you’re going to be doing with Thelma at Cupcakes and Daisies and Sinta at Pink Pincushion.
