I think these little bags are addicting. I spent the morning yesterday making another one.
I had a mini charm pack of "Graze", a collection Sweetwater came out with in 2022. I bought some fabric from an Etsy seller and she included the mini charm pack in my order. The fabrics are kind of country chic in primary colors of red, green, blue, and gold.
You get 42 mini charm squares in a Moda mini pack, so for this project, you have two left over.
These little bags are super fun to put together. There are some areas where you are sewing over the pull tab and the zipper, which is fairly thick. I bent the dickens out of a needle and thought I had really messed up my machine, but I managed to remove it and there was no damage. I switched needles to the "Jeans/Denim" type and sewed really slowly over the thick parts and it worked out better.
I hope you are having better weather than we are, wherever you are. I keep expecting to hear that Noah is near with the ark, but so far, it's just been thunder, lightning, and lots of rain.

Good idea with the jeans needle. My Janome really has trouble with thick seams so my backup 40+yo Viking gets those jobs. These really are cute!
The weather sounds really rotten out your way. I think Noah should come to the Midwest; we’ve had almost no snow this winter and very little rain.

Your newest bag is cozy looking with those fabric choices! We had about 10″ of snow last week…nobody’s complaining, though, because we need the moisture.

Thanks so much for the recommendation on the bag tutorial…my daughter has been telling me for YEARS to try little zippered bags…I’ve made so many big totes…I’ll try!

oh, no! don’t damage the machine! I hate when I hit a pin and break a needle. I don’t want to damage my machine so I try to sew slowly over very thin pins.
we’ve only lost power once so we have been lucky. I feel so badly for all the people getting flooded and mudslides. just terrible.
hey, yesterday was bake day….what did Eva bake? I am currently living vicariously through other people’s lives….

I’m sorry you’ve been struggling with the weather. My brother lives in San Diego and they haven’t been hit quite as bad as some parts of the west coast. Scary stuff. I wish we had the moisture in one form or another.
The bags are very sweet. Not something I have tried, but appreciate the tutorial/links and needle recommendation.
