Hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day. Mine was lovely. It was also Sara's birthday, so we had a double celebration. She and Eva came over for brunch and we sat outside and opened presents and had mimosas and a nice breakfast.
I managed to catch the miserable cold my husband had while we were on our vacation, so I was down for the count last week. I still have a lingering cough and am blowing my nose all the time. Such fun. I have not been doing any sewing, so I apologize for the lack of quilty content, but it will probably continue like this for the foreseeable future. Eva has three more weeks of school, and then I will be spending more time with here during the summer. I hope to get some kind of schedule in place where I sew for an hour or so a day while she is occupied with something else.
The table runner in the photo above is super cute, in spite of the terrible lighting. I will get it trimmed up and bound this week, and think it will be a pretty addition to my dining table. Inside or out!

Really missed your posts; hope you are back to normal soon. Thanks for taking the time to keep us inspired with your quilting even though you do have a real life as well. All your projects are lovely.

Awe, I hope that you’re back to normal ASAP, Nicole! I’ll vote for summer sewing lessons for Eva! Have a good one (and when are you pulling out your pepper and flax again?!?)

Those are lovely soft colors in a great summer table runner. The centers tie them together well. I wondered when we didn’t hear from you if the cold had invaded your space! Take your time…we’ll be here when you’re back in the sewing room! PS Is Eva ready for some sewing of her own? If she’s interested, that sounds like a nice idea for vacation time.

I have some of the exact fabrics you have used in your last two table pieces. Fig Tree here has its own bin for scraps. Love that most of the fabrics will play will together whether from a 10-year-old line or last year’s. Have my eye on some patterns to get them used. Glad you had family in for Mother’s Day, outside meals are fun while the weather lasts. Sorry you caught your husband’s cold. I seem to get more colds from the grandchildren since they are exposed to everything at school and germs are hard to fight. Get well soon.
