Happy April Fools Day! It is also my sister Andrea's birthday, so Happy Birthday too. She posts super pretty pictures on Instagram, you should check her out. She'd love it if you said hi. She has a unique and beautiful style and sticks with it.
Eva and I did a little seasonal decorating yesterday. We got the St. Patrick's things put away and had fun figuring out where to put the Easter things. She is a great helper and really gets into the aesthetics of how things should be arranged. She is mostly responsible for the tiered tray this time.
She actually painted that little birdhouse on the lower tier and is very proud of it. I had six decorative carrots to use in my various vignettes, and before I got to them, she had hidden them all over the house and tasked me with the job of finding them all before I could use them. The last one took me awhile, but I managed it. If you look hard,you can see her on the computer at the counter in the background in the photo above.
I was feeling kind of blah about making the effort to put out any Easter decorations, but you know, she was so enthusiastic about it, and made the task so fun, that I am so glad we went to the trouble. She and my husband and I are the only ones who will see it, but that's ok.
I did get yesterday's Laundry Basket Mystery blocks done. Pretty simple, so I was glad of that since we had all the decorating going on.

Love that she made you hunt for the carrots! It’s a lovely display you two made. I think keeping markers in place for things like Easter helps keep track of time and maintain some “normalcy” even in a decidedly not normal time. Plus, it’s just happy and we can use that right now.

Eva is learning from you about keeping a home looking cheerful & cozy. Every bit of that is going to be with her forever–she’s going to have happy memories of time spent with you during a difficult time in the outside world. Hiding the carrots is adorable & the tiered stand decor says she’s been watching you all along! It doesn’t get any better than that! 💕💕

We are seeing each other, just us four. And, Daddy brings me groceries too so I can avoid shopping. Fun time despite the going nowhere for quite a while. Stitching starts later today.

Your decorations look very festive. One of my brother’s birthday is also today. MY sister and I usually tortured him endlessly all day until we finally would get in trouble. He is just the nicest man. I guess it didn’t mar him too bad. Have a great weekend Nicole!

I have been obsessively stitching all the bunny patterns in wool. It’s not that I’m excited about Easter. It’s just something to obsess over right now…..kind of like your puzzles. It has no calories, entertains me for hours, and I have something to show for my time spent. ;p
