Ok, enough goofing around, shopping at the mall, and gazing vacantly into space. Time to get back to sewing!
I have the day off for the most part today, and plan to put together some Dresden Plates. I love these pretty Fig Tree fabrics, and know my finished top will be so summery and vintagey.
Other things on my list to get back to are Farmer's Wife, Granny Squares, quilting my T is for Thelma Schnibbles, and making a dozen or more little zippy bags for my son in law's new wine tasting room. He has said he would like to have some "boutiquey" items for sale in the shop, and my zippy bags fit the bill! So excited about that!
So, as you see, I have plenty to do and hope to show some results to you all next time I post!
Can't help sharing this picture of some ground cover that popped up in my back yard:
No clue what it is, but it seems pretty common in my area. Couldn't you just dive into it?
And look! They're ba-ack!

Love the hummingbird photo. It reminds me that I have a feeder sitting in my garage that is just waiting to be hung outside the kitchen window!

Is the flowering plant close to to the ground? If so, I will guess that it’s phlox. I too am working with some Fig Tree fabrics – you make me want to get mine dine!

Ahhh, I see you did say that it’s a ground cover. Phlox is a perennial and spreads beautifully so you should get to enjoy it each spring in ever-increasing quantities.

Yes, your groundcover is phlox. I have it in a couple of colors and have even divided it and moved it here and there in the yard. It does wonderful with very little care. We are so enjoying the hummers again also!

1) I KNEW sooner or later I’d regret getting rid of my Patisserie Layer Cakes! LOL! (Kidding … maybe.)
2) Beautiful blossoms … we’re still getting snow.
3) My sister would be very impressed with your hummingbirds. 😉 We vacationed a few times in Southern California and at my sister’s suggestion we got a hummingbird feeder. So delightful & entertaining.

Cheering your energy to do all that you want to do! Love the fabrics for your Dresden Plates, your lovely purple phlox, and the newly returned flying jewels – hummingbirds!

Lovely dresden blades indeed! The purple flowers and hummingbirds definitely signal spring even though we mostly escaped winter this year 🙂 Zip bags sound like a perfect little useful thing to sell.

Nothing like some yummy Fig Tree fabrics to start your day off! Our hummingbirds are months away so it’s nice to see you’ve already had some stop by for a sip! Enjoy your day ‘off’ although it sounds like a busy one!

The beautiful ground cover is phlox. It always blooms this time of year. Spreads well and low maintenance . Just love your Dresden blocks. I have Patisserie fabric and what a perfect project for it!

Love your hummingbirds – we love to sit and watch them. We have 2 feeders. They are supposed to be here in New Jersey (according to the maps) but we haven’t seen them yet. It did get colder at night though. Hopefully soon. Enjoy them!

It looks like the ground cover is creeping phlox. It comes in a variety of lovely colors and is a really hardy plant. I’m looking forward to our hummingbirds showing up but we are still way too cold. At least I have daffodils blooming and they are gorgeous!

As I’ve said before, I sooooo enjoy your blog. Flowers are beautiful; trees and some flowers blossoming here in Minnesota. Extremely early but a mild winter and early and warm spring.
Love your selection of spring/summer clothing. Inspires me to stick with trying to loose 20 pounds and then let myself select a few items.
