One of my blogging friends, Darlene, has referred on her blog to our mutual quilting buddy Lisa, as an evil temptress. Lisa has a way of discovering a gorgeous new fabric group and extolling its virtues to Darlene and I, and despite our vows of abstinence, luring us into purchasing the fabric collections for ourselves. Yes, I know, we are weak.
This fabric group is a kit, offered by Kimberly at Fatquartershop.com. The kit is called Chelsea’s Stars, from a Blackbird Designs Moda group called Chelsea’s Boutique, made up with Miss Rosie’s pattern Luci in the Sky. When Lisa ordered her kit, she emailed me several times saying how eagerly she was anticipating the fabric’s arrival, following the UPS tracking trail daily (possibly hourly, but she didn’t admit that). Finally, upon its arrival, she could barely contain herself. "Oh Nicole, you will LOVE this fabric group! It is just your thing. You should see the beautiful shades of rose and teal and chocolate brown. I can’t wait to make this quilt, it is going to be a real beauty!"
You see what I am up against. Only a fellow passionate fabriholic could understand how my no-buying-any-fabric-this-month resolve crumbled instantly. In no time flat, my own Chelsea’s Stars kit was UPSing its way to me in California.
(Note: I am on vacation and won’t be able to respond to your comments until then).

I don’t know whether I’m fortunate or unfortunate but Lisa did not use her evil ways to tempt me into buying this particular kit.
