Christmas in July

I like to plan ahead when I can.  It may seem crazy, but I am looking ahead to the holiday season, and if this quilt is going to be quilted and ready to go by late November, now is a good time to get it out the door to the quilter.

This is my Return to Sender Christmas quilt, made with Moda’s Christmas Presence fabric line, designed by April Cornell.  I used a Miss Rosie’s Quilt Company pattern (called "Return to Sender"), which is basically a classic block usually called "Envelope".  I have been procrastinating putting on the borders, but managed to get it done, despite our fabulous weather calling to me to come outside and play.  It truly is Christmas in July!

  1. A lovely quilt! I love the border fabric! Now if I recall, that’s the quilt you felt you had contrast issues. Looks perfect to me! :o) Thanks for sharing!
