Do You Believe in Guardian Angels?

Well, I can tell you that my hair is now completely white.

My daughter was in an automobile accident Tuesday morning and this is how she ended up.  Poor little Remy was with her, not harnessed, and experienced quite a tumble around in that car.  And both of them emerged from the car unscathed, physically at least.  

Sara was able to lift little Remy out the window, and instead of running like the wind in a panic through the cow pasture, he stayed right by the car waiting to see what would happen next to Sara.  Unfortunately she was not able to get out of the vehicle unassisted, but two gentlemen stopped immediately and were able to get the passenger door open and drag her out.

Next car to stop was a local firefighter on her way to work.  She checked Sara's vitals (blood pressure sky high, but why wouldn't it be?).  By then Sara was feeling pretty shaky and had to go sit in someone's car until the CHP and other rescue people arrived.

Thanks to her extremely well safety equipped new car and a guardian angel, my daughter came out of this minus a car perhaps, but with her life.  My heart is so full of gratitude for everyone (human or otherwise) who helped.

  1. OH! Thanks be to God and the human guardian angels who stopped to help Sara and Remy! How scary before, during, and after.
    Sara can expect to feel beaten up for a few days or longer because all of her muscles probaby tensed to the max.
    Hope it’s a matter of simply popping the dents out of the car (as it used to work) but then this car may be made of different stuff.
    Hugs and happy dancing that all is well. Whew!

  25. Really glad that Sara and Remy are fine just a bit shaky. And isn’t it great that no matter hwat you will always find more people who will help then just turn away? Humankind can’t be so bad after all.

  28. Thank the Lord that Sara and Remy are ok. Cars can be replaced. I echo your thanks to the good Samaritans who stopped and help Sara out of the car and to make sure she was ok.

  46. holy smokes…my heart dropped when i saw that picture. thank goodness for air bags, steel, and good samaritans.
    when sara comes out of the shock of it all she will be upset at the totalled car. keep reminding her that cars can be replaced. people can’t.

  49. So glad Sara wasn’t badly injured – at least physically! Tell (make) Sara take it easy for several days and be kind to herself. It takes time for some injuries to appear after something like that happens. Muscles may have been tensed/injured beyond belief and need time to recover.
    What kind of wonderful car was it that kept her so safe? I hope it’s repairable but if not, like so many have said, cars can be replaced – not humans.

  64. Holy Cow! The car pic was scary. So grateful to hear that Sara and Remy are okay and that the color can return to your hair. Best wishes for a speedy recovery for all. It was so heartwarming reading the part of the story where Remy stays close keeping an eye on Sara.

  79. I’m so sorry to read about Sara’s accident but thankful that they’re going to be ok!! She’s a lucky lady & Remy is a lucky pup & smart, too, to wait right by Sara until help arrived! They had a Guardian Angel riding along, that’s for sure!

  94. Thank you for sharing about this harrowing accident. My boys were involved in an accident on the major artery around Philly the same week that Sara had her accident. An 18 wheeler side swiped them. It is nothing short of a miracle that not a hair on their head was harmed. It’s a Good reminder of God’s providence in our lives.
