Espana

Well, it has been touch and go this past week as to whether or not we would be able to go on our planned vacation to Spain (family member health problems), but it appears that at last, I am off to Spain for two weeks!  Spain, the land of matadors, tapas, paella, and paradors.  The first week will be spent on the Costa del Sol in Southern Spain, then we plan to wend our way north, exploring Granada, Valencia, Madrid and Barcelona.  We will NOT be attending any bull fights, however typical the custom is, as I feel it is a cruel  sport.   I have scehduled regular posts while I am away, so please check in and see what I have left for you.  On April 6, I should be back on my more frequent posting schedule.  Hasta luego mis amigas!

  3. Good news for you !
This is funny : we’ll be in Spain at the same time ! We’re leaving on Friday, next week, and will come back to Belgium on April 16th…Actually, we have an appartment there, and we’re planning to live there 6 or 8 months a year, when retiring. Life is sooooo sweet there, and the (real) Spanish cooking is delicious ! We are in a small fishers village, just in front of the sea and with the mountains in our back),(120Kms from Barcelona).
Spain is delightful, hope you’ll like it ! Have a safe trip, and a nice stay!
PS : there’s a very interestig Spanish blog, called “Pato con peras…” (http://blancacocina.blogspot.com
Her name is Blanca Martinez, she gives lots of real Spanish cooking recipes (not the tourists ons). It is written in French and Spanish, with many photos….
    Happy holidays !

  7. I lived in Malaga when I was younger. I’ve visited Granada, Cordoba, Jaen, Jerez de la Frontera, and Cadiz too. You will love Spain! I am so envious! I look forward to hearing about your trip.
