Ginger Snap?

I was a little mixed up about the name of this little project I've been working on.  It isn't Cinnamon Sticks, it is Ginger Snap.  I think.  Anyway it is a Pam Buda Tokens of the Past pattern.  The block is Lady of the Lake, and that is what I call the pattern in my mind.  At any rate, Cinnamon Sticks, Ginger Snap, Banana Bread–none of those names relate to the pattern in any way shape or form I can see.  So I am not retaining them very well in my head!

I have my little Featherweight to thank for this finish.  My piecing isn't as perfect as it is on the Bernina, but this little table topper came out pretty darn good.  All the measurements were the same as the pattern said they should be, so that's a win.  It finishes at around 24 inches.

Bernina repair update:  I was supposed to hear from the shop by November 4th.  Yesterday was the 6th, so I called the shop for a status update.  "Oh, he'll have to call you back, he's with a customer".  And he didn't.  Makes me feel so special after spending thousands of dollars there.

Don't mind me.  I have had some bad news this week and am processing it.  Everything will work out.

    I’d be irked too, about your Bernina repair. Customer service certainly isn’t what it used to be – or was it called courtesy?
    Now you’ve left us hanging about having had bad news. I hope that whatever it is, it will work out positively.

  16. I’m sorry you’ve had some bad news, hope that all works out. I totally understand your frustration, but know from my own working days that sometimes my very best intentions aren’t enough to make everything happen some days. I hope you get some word today, and that it is good news.

  22. I know you’re not taking a vote, but mine would be ‘Ginger Snap’…because I bake them…a lot! Only you can decide, however I agree with the comments about talking with Bernina headquarters about the lack of customer care you’ve experienced at that shop since the beginning. Remember to breathe while you have so many things going on in your life.

  25. Table topper is most attractive! I would display it on my coffee table with joy.
    I dislike pestering and find annoying people to be a pain but perhaps your Bernina repair service does need some nudging. It was my understanding that Bernina dealers need to be meet criteria for brand standards

  28. Your Lady of the Lake table topper is really attractive. That block is one of my favorites. I have been planning to do either a table runner or topper with the Lady of the Lake block using indigo and double pink. It looks good in my head; I hope it will look good in reality.

  55. Love your table topper! Are those fabrics from the same collection? I’m crushing on that red border 😍 You should also look into getting a backup machine like maybe a Pfaff. My friends have the quilters expression (I think that’s the name) and they love it. Sending happy thoughts your way 💞
