Halloween Bounce 99.9% Finished

Halloween Bounce is almost finished.  I just need to add one more plain background fabric border to the outside edges.  It is all cut out and ready to be attached.  This weekend was a bit crazy, getting ready for house guests, attending the wedding and going out of town on Sunday to celebrate a family birthday. So, no sewing accomplished.

I have to say I am so very pleased with how Halloween Bounce turned out.  I thoroughly enjoyed making the quilt.   Choosing the perfect fabrics, making the scrappy star blocks, and particularly making that awesome border were a total joy.  That border.  Wow.  It pretty much makes the quilt, doesn't it?  It wasn't that difficult, just strip sets which were assembled in a certain way to create the design.  I got it wrong a few times and made quite a friend of my seam ripper.  If you get a piece turned the wrong way it totally disrupts the pattern and must be re-done.  

Today my carpets are being cleaned, so I won't be able to get into the sewing room.  Ack.  Luckily I have a book to read and can chill out on the porch.  

The wedding on Saturday was so fun.  The happy couple were so ecstatic and just radiated love for each other.  My outfit was perfect for the occasion and my husband and I had the most flattering photo taken of the two of us.  I was completely pleased with the entire experience!

    And now enjoy your book and share if you like it … I didn’t read a good book in a while (reread my favorites) because the last book I’ve picked up in the library was so just not good I put aside after a few page (‘All is not forgotten’ by Wendy Walker) I was totally disappointed.
