Hi there. I sure do time my vacations well. You wouldn't believe the hoops I had to jump through to get four days off work so I could stay home and sew. Didn't happen. The sewing that is. Oh, I stayed home all right. In my bed! This was the cold virus of all cold viruses, that laid me low for the past week.
It turns out that my new laptop (did I tell you I got a new laptop for Christmas?) has a build in web cam. While I was trying to find the solitaire games, I accidentally set it off and got a grand picture of my sick bleary self. I will spare you the picture, but it is pretty funny. If I ever needed to prove to someone that I was home sick, that picture says it all!
I have to go back to work tomorrow, and look forward to getting out of the house, even if I still feel like you know what. Aaachooo.

Hope you’re feeling better – too bad you have to go back to work when you’re ready to start sewing. It’s been snowing here for the past two days. At times like this I really appreciate being retired, I can stay in and quilt to my heart’s content – too bad that the DH needs to have have a good meal now and then.

My sister was visiting from NH for Xmas and my nephew got a terrible cold while here. Well they left last week but left the cold behind. I spent the last weekend with ample opportunity for sewing and little enthusiasm. Yup. I can sympathize completely. Hopefully your on the mend.

It hit here, too – I am headed into week 3 of icks… definitely not conducive to sewing and NOT a fun way to spend days off! Hope we are both in good shape soon -and spend the rest of 2010 on the healthy side of things!

Sounds like my husband when he took time off before and after Thanksgiving…sick and sick. I’m sorry for you. It is so frustrating to make such fun plans and have it all fall apart.
