I saw something on FaceBook yesterday, where someone was moaning about it being Monday. I have quite the opposite reaction to Mondays. I love Mondays. I am home with my husband again, I can enjoy my house, and if time allows, get caught up on a bit of sewing or reading. Mondays are a re-set day for me. A chance to start fresh and enter the week with hope and goals.
Take a look at those lilies, will you? My husband bought them for me, and they are perfect with my fall decor. How about the size of them? Yikes. He bought them for $8.99 at Walmart of all places. They are over a week old and still look spectacular. We do change the water often, but that is amazing.
I have made my last mug rug for a while. I'll make a few for Christmas, but I am done for now. This one is for me. It isn't as technically perfect as the last one I made, but I am satisfied with it. Love that Kitty Corn fabric.
I just noticed something, and I am surprised you guys didn't point it out to me. My Christmas block on the upper left is sewn together wrong. Do you see my mistake? Oh goody, I will have to take it apart and fix it.
Here is a little glimpse of my hall table, which makes me happy every time I walk past it. My husband got us a little mini haunted house that works great on it. That photo of my son and me was taken at the Harry Potter Warner Brothers Studios in London. We look too nice to be dangerous.
He must be standing on a box. I look like I am about four and a half feet tall. He is six feet tall and I am about 5' 4" if I stand up straight.

Love seeing and hearing about all you do. I think your version of the stars block is fine! I did ALL of those blocks when the pattern first came out– then I looked at them last year, and every single one had a half square triangle or two rotated the wrong way!! LOL. I find the best thing to do is post my blocks, because someone out there always catches my mistakes. The project is back in a box for now. xoxo

love that hall table display! I bet you can’t wait until xmas to have your son here. I haven’t checked lately to see how Ireland is doing with Covid. We have been doing so badly as a nation. ugh.
hope you get to have your family Halloween party this year!

Love the fabric you’ve chosen for your blocks. And if you had not mentioned it, I would not have noticed, just thinking it was part of the plan. Since all sections are consistent, I wouldn’t take it apart.

Love your hall table Halloween display – and especially that fun photo! Your quilt blocks are pretty too, and you could absolutely leave the one as is since it is consistent with itself.
Your own mug rug looks to be more in your usual color scheme, with that bit of soft sage green and bits of antique-y gold. And it is not over-the-top Halloween either.

Just thought I’d say how much I enjoy reading your blog. I love the hall table runner and the photo is wonderful, such lovely smiles, as for your “mistake” it looks good to me!
