Livin’ the Good Life

Sophie and Ozzie have settled in beautifully to life at our house.  It didn't take Sophie long to figure out she could lay claim to the other chair in the family room.  That is Ozzie on the right looking rather regal, and Sophie on the left.  Sometimes they cuddle up together in the same chair, or perch together on the top of one of them.  It has been only just over one week since we got her and it feels as if she has been in our family forever.

She is still having potty accidents, but is making it outside more often than not.  My husband cleaned the carpets in anticipation of our guests coming to dinner this last weekend.  As soon as he finished, and took the carpet cleaner back to the store, guess what happened?  That's right friends, Sophie "blessed" the carpet.  Man oh boy, was my husband mad.  She will "get it" in due time.  She is still a puppy.  Goodness, she has stolen my heart.  What are a few carpet stains (well, quite a few carpet stains) compared to that sweet face?

Let me just say that the suspicious looking object on the floor next to the chair is a chew bone.  Just in case anyone was wondering….

  3. How can you not love Sophie? (perfect name by the way), and what’s a few accidents between friends? It seems that Ozzie has really matured. Maybe having a little girl around the house has turned him into a perfect, little gentlemen.

  25. Ah, yes. Puppy accidents. Why would someone get new light carpet and then get a puppy!? Oh, that was me!!! Maggie is getting better with fewer accidents, however. She did leave me a little “gift” the other night, though. Oh, well…….
    I can tell which one is Ozzie – his eyebrows are bushier. I’m glad Sophie is working out. How old is she?

  31. Aw, they have taken over! Do you guys sit on the doggy beds now? I had great success with my little girl dog by crating her in the evenings for awhile and then letting her out to go potty. It worked in about 5 days. Good luck! Pam

  33. They look like great entertainment. We have a bichon and we refer to our carpet as “polka dotted”. That’s the only bad part to our dog.

  35. They are both darlings she will learn she is still a puppy we had that problem when our pup was young but it dident take him long to learn.give them both a hug from me.

  37. OH MY GOODNESS – those puppies are absolutely precious and I bet they are great companions when your gone and I bet they can get into trouble together as well

  41. how wonderful to have 2 in the house now huh?..she is as adorable as ozzie. I have 4 dogs (all inside doggies) and invested in my own carpet cleaner……paid for itself after the 2nd time..lol……all the best to you and your lil ones…maybe hubby will get his own carpet cleaner from Santa this yr???……Elaine

  47. Those are two handsome dogs…well, maybe I should say one pretty and one handsome. I am assuming one is male and the other female by their names.

  51. Soo precious! Yea, those accidents are tough, and if she was a bit older when you got her, it will take her that much longer, but she WILL get it. It just will take longer. Don’t give up!
