Mother’s Day Tea Party

My thoughtful daughter gave the special women in her a life a real treat on Mother’s Day.  She invited us all to her garden patio for a tea party!  We spent a delightful couple of hours chatting and eating a most wonderful spread of goodies.  This was a tea party like no other, complete with a handsome butler she was able to conscript for the afternoon.  He’s pretty cute, yes?

It wasn’t too hard to take, being waited on and pampered in this deluxe fashion.  The drinks are iced tea, sparkling lemonade, champagne, and a lovely bottle of white wine brought by one of the guests.  We dined on cucumber sandwiches, mini tarts and cupcakes, crab salad filled shells, banana bread and chocolate dipped strawberries.

After our lunch, the guests took part in a tea cup exchange.  Everyone had brought a teacup in a wrapped package, and we drew numbers that corresponded with each package.  Everyone went home with a pretty cup as a memento of this special afternoon.

That’s my girl!  She really knows how to put on a great party.

  1. Well, this just sounds heavenly. The cupcakes made my mouth water. Question: What is that bottle of pink stuff in the bowl of ice? It looks good. And where are the tea cups from the exchange? I want to see them!

I love the metal candle holders in the background. Do you know where she got those?

  7. Oh, I don’t like that picture of Ryan! He’s making a face. He was such a good butler, we were lucky to have him. Your photos are way better then mine. My champagne picture had Lizz blurred out in the background looking fussy.
