I am keeping up with the Piecing the Past weekly sew-along. So far, the blocks have been pretty simple, so making three a week hasn't been particularly challenging, especially since I have lots of time each day to get up into my sewing room to play. These are blocks 4, 5, and 6. Click on the link to see the project. I believe you can still join in this free sew-along.
Would you believe my granddaughter had a Zoom meeting yesterday? That is the latest thing in web conferencing meeting applications and her teacher set it up so the kids in her third-grade class could visit and chat with one another. They can see a screenshot of each person who is participating in the meeting- it is kind of a mosaic of tiny screens for each "attendee" on the computer screen. The kids loved it and were at it for an entire hour, laughing and sharing and catching up.
Obviously this wasn't the third graders' meeting, but you can get the idea of what it is like. Those children are so starved for social interaction, it really was good for them to be able to see one another in this format. I have heard that a lot of families who are social distancing and missing each other are doing their own meetings on a regular basis. Pretty brilliant.
On another subject…Need a new door mat? I saw this on Fatquartershop.com and thought it was fun. Only $23.

The meeting is so awesome for these children. I feel so bad for them right now with all the isolation. It is hard enough for adults to deal with it! Take care and be safe!

lol @ the door mat! your blocks are really lovely…I love the colors. You are going to have lots of ‘memory’ quilts when we do all eventually venture out into the world.
warm weather is coming this week…get out your gardening tools. ;p
