Pretty Pretty

This is the newest fabric release from French General– Pom Pom de Paris.   Very French.  Very pretty.  I love the pale pink, the yellow, and of course, the faded red.  Thinking it might make a mighty fine baby quilt.  But of course, that is the way my mind is working these days!

This has been a tough week, blog wise.  Hopefully next week will be more content heavy!

Thanks for all the splendid advice regarding baby clothes sizing.  It will all be taken into serious consideration.

  9. I bought the Schnibbles pattern Brocante and two charm square packs out of Pom Pom de Paris to make it with. It’s what Carrie used for the pattern sample and is just beautiful!

  11. I have a FQ bundle of that but cannot decide what to use it for. It’s so pretty I’m having a hard time finding something Worthy of it! LOL!

  19. What delicious fabrics!! I had to smile as your thoughts turn to another baby quilt! What else would come to mind?
    Hope your MIL and FIL (and you and DH) are doing okay with all of the unwelcome upheaval that has come their way.
    Have a lovely Mother’s Day, too. Next year there will be some adorable little someone crawling, cruising, or toddling around the Mother’s Day table!!

  29. I love the name but I am so-so on the fabric. I saw it at LQS. I much prefer her earlier fabric lines of blues, reds, and grey. ;0

  31. Love that fabric! i’m making a stack and whack dresden plate from one of the yellows and it is turning out sooo cute.
    I have four grandchildren, the oldest is 8 and the youngest is 18 months. They are all so wonderful. I remember that we had to go buy some newborn outfits because all the 3 months were too big at first. So you will probably need some unless your daughter has a really big baby.

  33. oooh, I’ve had my eye on that fabric, very pretty! While looking on google images (something that takes up way too much time!)
    I came across a great pattern for those layer cakes. It’s called Let’s twist by Marsha Bergen. Hope that’s helpful.

  35. I loooove that fabric! I have some charm packs and a few fat quarters, but don’t know what to do with it either. It screams girly girl. I’m waiting to see what you make with it. A baby quilt would be gorgeous, add some wide rick rack, how pretty!
