So, How’d You Do?

004

The Red and White Snowball Challenge has come to its conclusion.  So, how did it go?  Don't worry if you didn't finish–it isn't a race!  Give yourself some slack–we all do our best, but life gets in the way, doesn't it?

Challenges are a wonderful opportunity to try something new in the company of other quilters.  We made a few new friends and swapped some fabric, and with any luck, got a really beautiful quilt top out of the experience.  I am looking forward to seeing what you all accomplished.

If you finished your quilt top, send Allyson at Fat Cat Quilts ([email protected]) a comment or a picture and she will post it/link to it on her blog.  She is just returning for a month long vacation at some sunny location far from her home in Alaska, so give her a day or so to get things organized.

Thanks for the fun and the fellowship during this challenge!   Of course we will do another one!

  1. Well I enjoyed the heck out of it. 🙂 A Great event to be a lurker (although I wasn’t creepy – I left comments)… not to say lurkers are creepy. Sheesh, Karen. Stop now.

  3. I didn’t finish the challenge. My blocks are all ready to be put together and I will probably finish it up this week. Life really got in the way in December. My youngest son had surgery on December 17th, did well through the surgery and then had emergency surgery on December 22nd because part of the procedure went awry and he went into full multi-system organ failure. So, I didn’t finish. But I will.

  5. Yours is lovely! I think I recall Allyson saying she didn’t think the quilt large enough…this looks like a good size to me. Did you increase it with borders not included in the pattern?

  7. Beautiful…I got just the top done. And it’s much smaller. All those HSTs?! Yikes. But I am not opposed to do another snowball quilt someday. I think I have the techniques nailed. 🙂
I sent Allyson a pic when I finished the top.
