Somebody Stop Me

In the past couple of weeks I have started five new projects. Five.  Cut out the fabric, made a few blocks and carefully placed everything in a project box.  I am very excited about each of these new projects, but am feeling a bit schizophrenic. Which one shall I focus on?  I truly cannot decide.  I feel so torn.

Obviously, I need help!  Will you vote on which project I should focus on, and help me decide?  Whichever one gets the most votes will be the one I will work on until it is complete!

  9. I love to read about your projects and I think it so exciting to see how a project will turn out with a certain line of fabric. I truly understand starting several at one time. I think Kitchen Sink with Morris inspired fabric is the most unusual so I would want to see the whole quilt. Just a thought. It will be fun no matter which one you pick.

  17. Even though I’m dying to see something done with that William Morris fabric and that Beach Cottage is so bright and springy I vote for Mocha Trails. I’m really eager to see that one done!!

  21. Oh thank you Nicole! I thought I was the only one who suffered a case of qadd (quilting attention deficit disorder. My quilting buddies are all restrained, one project start to finish. Me…lets just say I also have project boxes…

  25. Hi Nicole, Your penchant for starting lots of projects sounds disconcertingly familiar…hmmm…could it be that I do the same thing? lol My vote goes to Mocha Trails for several reasons: 1) fabrics are from your stash, 2) stars are always fun, 3) chocolate and caramel – need I say more??

  47. I vote for Kitchen Sink first, with Beach Cottage as the runner-up. Dying to see kitchen sink all made up I am working on an April Cornell with the old Sunshine line…hope I have hoarded enough fabrics to complete it!

  51. I agree with Darlene. Weekends are wildcards and you can work on the one you prefer. This will give you variety and you will have all five completed in no time…provided you don’t start a 6th project 😉

  63. Nicole– love the way your mind thinks…5 projects going at one time. Wish I could even start one…these days I’m getting my quilting fix reading blogs, which by the way, love yours! Since it’s so dark and dreary here, I’d go with the bright colors- asian plates, beach cottage– because they have such vibrant colors.

  97. They are all fabulous! Glad I’m not the only one that does this – but I kind of like having a bunch of things to work on. It’s like books – I have 4 or 5 going at a time – never know what I’ll be in the mood for o:) But, if I had to pick one I guess it would be the Beach Cottage, but only because it’s so Springy/Summery and we’re coming off of ANOTHER blizzard that happened last week, so I’m ready for Spring! Mocha Trails is also calling! Good luck o:)

  113. I have a few of those danged project boxes stacked up in my sewing room too. Eight of them to be exact. I got down my Simply Sophisticated one a couple of weeks ago and am almost done with it now. I am determined to get through that stack. But I feel your pain! I am afraid I have to vote for the Mocha Trails one, I like that pattern and fabrics.

  119. Beach Cottage. The soft colors look like spring, and you’ll be ready to go. I am in awe that you could get so many projects going in such a short time. So you have one of those cutting gizmos or do you do it all with a rotary cutter?

    What a difficult question! 🙂 They are ALL so pretty. I am very impressed with how organized you are. It is all set up so you can sew with whatever mood you are in for the day. If I have to vote today, (tomorrow may be different) it would be the Nature’s Notebook. I have been eyeballing that fabric for a while now. It would be fun to see it made up. It looks so “spring timey” to me today. 🙂 Have a great day. I hope you are feeling better. I had written you last week but noticed I must have made an error as my message didn’t show up. Oh well….it was mainly about taking care of yourself and giving yourself time to heal from your surgery. That sort of thing always takes more out of us than we realize at the time.
