Still No Laptop

Photo-1
I am struggling so this week without a computer.  My daughter has generously allowed me to use her teensy little MacBook Air, which is quite a different beast from my big Dell laptop.  Everything is tiny and strange, and I am dying to get my own laptop back from the repair shop.  Hopefully that will be late today, not a minute too soon.  It had all sorts of ailments, and I hope they have all been sorted out.

Anyway, these tiny photos were taken with my camera, just so I can share something with you other than my computer woes.  I am back to working on an old Bonnie Blue pattern called Antique Star, and I am loving it.  I am using Monique Dillard's Fit to be Quarter ruler to square up my hour glass blocks.  Each unit finishes at 2 1/2 inches square, and she has a ruler just that size that makes accuracy a snap.  The blocks end up at 6 1/2 inches square when finished.

With luck I will be back Thursday or Friday with a nice long post with loads of photos all about my fabric organizing efforts!  Hope you are all having a great week.

  3. Awwww … bummmer to be without your computer for this long. Isn’t it weird how unsettling it is to be without this link to the world that we didn’t even have 20 years ago? I didn’t know tiny computers existed these days.
Love the little Ohio Star blocks in their cheery reds! My North Wind blocks are also finishing at that size of 6 1/2″. I’m squaring up with my old and faithful Omnigrid square rulers.
    Hugs!

  5. Love your little blocks! Funny how we’re so used to our stuff, took me awhile to get used to my ipad. Definitely not a Mac girl 🙂

Hope your computer came home healthy and ready for your next post 🙂
