Welcome to my newly created blog!!! I chose the name Sister’s Choice, not only because it is one of my favorite block patterns, but because I have four beautiful sisters who are my best friends in the world. In addition, I see all of the women who love quilting as being a sisterhood connected by a common "thread". As mentioned in my biography, I am passionate about quilting, so that
will be the primary focus of this blog site. I am also very interested
in decorating, cooking, entertaining, reading literary fiction, and
matters of style, so you will see posts from me on those subjects from time to time as well. The blogs listed in the page margin have all been very inspirational to me, and I thank all my fellow bloggers for that, and hope we can become better acquainted.
The photo in this post is of a quilt in progress that I have just put together. It was a Mystery Quilt pattern that was presented to a group of us who had gathered for a retreat in Half Moon Bay, California. The construction was pretty easy, but those of us who like to plan ahead were nervous about the final results. The retreat leader assured us that if we were careful to pick fabrics with lots of contrast, we would love our final results. Each woman’s quilt was so different from the next, and I have to admit, I did like what I saw when I got my own blocks together.
Thanks for stopping by, and I look forward to getting to know you better!

Hi,
I emailed you about 2 weeks ago and asked if you remember where the pattern came from and you said if was from Miss Rosie’s quilt collection. I bought the book but the pattern I was referring to wasn’t is the book. But thats okay because I like the book anyway. But I still would like to the pattern you used for the nine patch with the appliqued border. It’s on you Feb. 2007 blog towards the bottom of the page. The title is Feeling like Spring. Thanks again, Jan Dee
