Things Are Looking Up

'O frabjous day!  Calloo!  Callay!!'
He chortled in his joy.

Things are pretty happy at my house right now.  My husband received a great job offer which he has accepted.  Things are looking up indeed.

No need for me to work two part time jobs, so I will be drastically cutting back my work hours and will be spending a lot more time with my Bernina.   I will get to see my family again on the weekends!!!!

In other news–  This is my Spice Market Schnibble for September, made with Carrie Nelson's pattern Winter White.  My fabrics are some Spice Market that Cheryl sent me, and some leftover gold prints from an old Sandy Gervais collection for Moda.

Once it is quilted, it will be so pretty on my kitchen table.  I am so pleased that I didn't give up after my first attempt came out sloppy.  Now I am looking forward to the next month's assignment!

  5. Yippee!! Congratulations on your husband accepting a job offer! I’m sure to you it seemed like he was out of work for ages but I think he got another job very quickly!! What a relief for you all! Haircuts all around!
    Your Schnibbles turned out beautifully! That border really sets it all off!
    I’m hoping to wrap mine up today or tomorrow.

    During the work week he will stay with relatives who live closer to the

    and I have Sophie. She is an angel when Oz isn’t around! The house is very

  75. Great news Nicole! Love the schnibbles quilt too. I wanted to do the year of schnibbles but with my surgery last week I felt like I would be so far behind. Just not ready to sit at a sewing machine.
