Week One Little Blocks 365

Fullsizeoutput_1cb7

Woo hoo!  My first seven blocks are finished! I tell you I am having so much fun making these blocks, I do not want to stop. I kept stealing upstairs to play with fabric or stitch for a bit yesterday. Eva must have thought I had some sort of digestive upset. I kept saying "I'll be right back honey, you go ahead and work on your own for a while". Then I would run upstairs and fool around until I would hear her say "Nana? Are you ok?"

Each block is so cute. They come out very accurate and I have not had too many issues.

Um, well. I found that it helps a lot to write on the pattern the proper color to use in each section.

It sounds like quite a few of you were able to sign up for the sew-along during the extended deadline! I am so happy to have all your company on this fun journey.

  4. Your blocks look great. After reading yesterday’s post I signed up. I have lots of scraps to choose from and this will use some of then. This will also give me something to look forward to after a year of staying home. I have been reading your blog since the Halloween 1904 quilt. I just cut 64 to many blocks for a quilt I am making. uggg

  7. Color coding a pattern is definitely helpful! You’re making great progress but I’m thinking Eva was missing you downstairs! Stay well!

  10. I signed up too! Thank you so much for sharing this program. I would really like to become proficient at paper-piecing and the only way to do that is to do it!

  13. Thank you for suggesting the 365 blocks. My first ever paper pieced project. I’ve just completed week one. Are your blocks measuring 3-1/2? All 7 of mine are 3-1/4. I have checked the 1-inch gauge on my printed copy. It is exactly one inch. Since they are all the same size, guess it doesn’t matter. Just puzzled.
