Here you see one of my favorite quilting books, 40 Fabulous Quick Cut Quilts by Evelyn Sloppy (gotta love her name). I have used this book for a couple of quilt projects and have marked pages with little Post-It flags for about a dozen more projects I would love to do in the future. This book was getting so loved that the binding was starting to come apart. A friend suggested I take it to my local Kinkos copy shop and have them put a spiral binding on it, which turned out to be a brilliant suggestion. My book is like new, and now lies perfectly flat when I open it to follow pattern directions. I highly recommend doing this with any favorite quilting or cook book.

A general comment, not about this particular post. I SO enjoy your blog! There is something especially lovely and inviting about it. I check it every day . . . .

That is a good idea. Not sure if there are Kinko’s in Canada. It sure looks nice with the spiral binding though.
