Why, I Oughtta…..

Ozzie!  What did you do?  Look at me….

Bad dog.  That is not a toy.  That is a very expensive ball of yarn I was saving for something.  How did you get that?   Oh Ozzie.  What am I going to do with you?

I was in my sewing room, trying to cut out the red, white and green fabric everyone told me should be my next project, and was concentrating really hard.  I had chosen a Miss Rosie pattern called Toulouse for the quilt, and it involved cutting  an awful lot of 1 1/2 inch squares.  I mean A LOT of squares.  I took a break long enough to check my email, where I had a message from Lisa, suggesting I simplify things and do strip piecing instead of cutting all those squares.  Bother.  Why didn’t I think of that?  Harumph.  Luckily, I think I have enough fabric to cut out the strips I need.

Back to the sewing room, where I find Ozzie has helped himself to a ball of yarn from the knitting basket and has made a royal mess of things.

Honestly, things are just not going all that well today.  My husband left for a week’s trip, trusting that Ozzie and I would stay out of trouble.  He has only been gone for five hours and look at the pickle we are in.

Man, oh man.  I was the one who wanted a dog.

Have a great weekend everyone!!

You know they have intentions of being artsy, right? The hole in the sweater needed mending – come on – he’s trying to help out here?!

  7. A pickle, indeed. Oh my goodness, he is cute as can be, even when he is being so naughty! I guess that pretty ball of yarn was just too tempting for Ozzie.

  9. My dog Rocket was like that.. it took so much longer to get him whipped into shape. (No whipping involved) I recognize many Rockety hijinks and the exact look Ozzie is giving in that photo.

  11. He’s such a charmer. Kind of like my second son who always was so cute he could get away with murder.
Hey, girlfriend, remember your snowball blocks quilt pic that you posted on September 18? Take a look at what you inspired — the blocks are on my wall just itching to be assembled!

  21. Ha! Aren’t puppies both the worst and the best at the same time? Roogrr smuggled the sheep that Teodo sent me from the bedroom yesterday. I found it at the bottom of the stairs. Luckily, it was unchewed. I think he knew he was naughty!! And he’s 3! 🙂

  23. I’m such a pushover for that face. Here I am, feeling sorry for Ozzie for getting in trouble, when it’s your yarn that’s been destroyed. Do they have a class at Puppy School called “Staying Out of Mom’s Stuff”?
